Officers were called to Dickenson Road, close to the area's border with Fallowfield, just after 1am this morning (Tuesday). They were initially alerted to reports of a man with a blade, police said.
Two men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray. They remain in custody to be quizzed by detectives.
