Every year, we get a sense of awkwardness as the presenters for each country come on to give their Eurovision points and try to chat with the host despite the delays between broadcast locations.
This year, as we all know, there was no actual Eurovision, yet a show was still on, letting viewers see the ‘would-be’ contestants for 2020.
Graham Norton was presenting on behalf of Britain and gave a lovely speech about the Eurovision, which was followed by an amusing mishap when he thought he was off-air and his mic wouldn’t be heard.
As the Netherlands went live to Britain, there was a slight lag in conversation with Graham and the Dutch presenter, as the Cork native got emotional speaking about the Eurovision.
