Sally Rooney is riding the wave of success that comes with two best-selling books and a hugely popular TV show adapted from her novel.
Not only has her book Normal People just jumped to the top of the book charts, two years after it was first released, figures show the author has earned a whopping €8.37m since being published.
Figures provided by Nielsen Bookscan reveal the author’s two novels combined have sold £6.18m (€6.97m) in the UK and €1.4m in Ireland.
From that, a massive €5.92m is from the sale of Normal People alone which has garnered much attention thanks to the TV adaptation of the novel of the same name.
