TV's The Prisoner Mini Moke to be set free… for about £60k

THE Mini Moke made famous in cult 60s TV series The Prisoner is coming up for sale next month with a price tag of up to £60,000.The 1965 machine is one of four that were customised by London coachbuilders Wood and Pickett in 1966 for the spy/sci-fi drama set in Portmeirion, Wales.Only two survive and this particular Moke is firmly identified as having been used on screen – with show creator and star Patrick McGoohan seen at the wheel in numerous episodes.The fleet was disbanded after filming concluded in 1967 and, a bit like The Prisoner itself, the history of this Moke is a mystery until 2011.That’s when it was discovered in a barn in Holland and shipped to the UK, prior to being bought in a very sorry state in 2015 by the current seller.W
