Trigger Point's Vicky McClure to return for second series after explosive finale

ITV's Trigger Point is returning for a second series in 2023 after Sunday night's explosive finale. Vicky McClure will reprise her role as bomb disposal operative, Lana Washington, for the Metropolitan Police Bomb Disposal Squad in the new six part series.

The ITV thriller series, written by Daniel Brierley and produced by Jed Mercurio’s HTM Television, hit screens last month and sees Line Of Duty legend Vicky, 38, take centre stage with nearly 11 million viewers watching the first episode.

Trigger Point focuses on the Expo officers who risk their lives daily on "the long walk" towards danger and fans were left floored when Adrian Lester's character Joel Nutkins was killed off in episode one.
