A popular village postman has been described as "one of the nicest men" following his sudden death after decades serving his community.
Garry Skeggs' devastated family have paid tribute to the "most wonderful" father, grandfather, husband, son, and brother.The 53-year-old, who passed away on Tuesday, September 5, worked for the Royal Mail for more than three decades.
Garry, who started his career aged just 17, was best known for his "warm personality" on his route in east Kent.His heartbroken family told KentLive: “We are devastated to have lost the most wonderful dad, grandad, husband, son and brother."Garry brightened everyone’s day who he came across with his infectious smile and warm personality.
We will treasure the memories and well wishes received by everyone.” A crowdfunding page has been set up in his memory by locals to whom he delivered.
