Tributes to much-loved grandma, 92, who died months after BMW crashed into home

A 92-year-old woman has died months after a BMW crashed into her home. Edna Kearns suffered serious leg injuries in the collision on White Horse Grove, Westhoughton, on November 28 2021.

Edna was discharged from hospital earlier this year but died at Royal Bolton Hospital last Friday (April 8). A post mortem is set to take place this week to establish a cause of death, her granddaughter Lesley Lister confirmed.

Paying tribute to her grandma, Lesley told the Manchester Evening News : "Grandma was a very special lady, she was a fighter till the very end.
