Tributes have been paid to a police officer on the fourth anniversary of his tragic death. PC Dave Fields had been responding to an emergency when he died in a head-on crash on December 25, 2017.
The crash occurred on the A57 road in Sheffield, which also led to the death of Lorraine Stephenson, aged 61, who had been a passenger in the other car, as reported by Yorkshire Live.An inquest held into the tragedy found that the crash occurred as a result of a "combination of factors", including the weather conditions at the time and the speed at which PC Fields, who was aged just 45 at the time of his death, had been travelling.
