The single was released on Alamo/Interscope Records. The Pop Songs chart, which launched in October 1992, measures total weekly plays, as tabulated by Nielsen Music/MRC Data, among its reporting panel of over 160 mainstream top 40 stations. "Falling" hits No.
1 on Pop Songs in its 28th week on the chart, dating to its Jan. 18 debut. It completes the second-longest trip to the top, after Benny Blanco, Halsey and Khalid's "Eastside" reached the summit in its 31st week on the ranking dated March 2, 2019.
