Travis Barker opens up on ‘excruciating pain’ that sparked hospitalisation

Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker has opened up about the “excruciating pain” that lead him to be admitted to hospital earlier this week.

The 46 old husband of Kourtney Kardashian, 43, was pictured being rushed to hospital strapped to a gurney on Tuesday with his wife of one month by his side, after he cryptically tweeted: “God save me”.

However on Saturday, the star finally opened up to fans on Instagram about what had prompted the urgent trip to hospital. “I went in for an endoscope, Monday feeling great.

But after dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalised ever since,” he wrote. Travis then continued: “During the endoscopy, I had a very smack polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. “This resulted in severe life threatening pancreatitis.” Thanks to the intervention of medics, his condition was thankfully stabilised, with the star sharing his gratitude with all the medical professionals that had helped him through the agonising situation. “I am so, very, very grateful that with intensive treatment I am currently much better,” he added.
