Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.
He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,
Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.
Ange Postecoglou watched Callum McGregor in action on Friday night and he's sure to be a key building block in the Parkhead rebuild.
A proposed move to Leicester for Odsonne Edouard appears to have collapsed but he'll have suitors elsewhere while Kris Ajer is linked with Newcastle United plus German sides Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig.
On the incoming front a bid was rejected for Mario Vuskovic while Erik Sviatchenko could be brought back from Champions League opponents FC Midtjylland.
There's likely to be less upheaval across the city at Rangers but Steven Gerrard could be about to lose one of his key men. Portuguese media have suggested that Alfredo Morelos ' agent is in talks with Porto over a potential deal.
