Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.
He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,
Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.
Celtic will hope it's their turn to push forward with transfers now Ange Postecoglou is in position at Lennoxtown with Mario Vuskovic and Aaron Hickey linked Leigh Griffiths remains in limbo over a new contract but new arrivals are coming "very, very soon" — but the gaffer was guarded when asked about the futures of Kris Ajer and Odsonne Edouard.
Meanwhile at Rangers the biannual Alfredo Morelos rumour mill is spinning but it looks like there's some substance behind chat about Porto.
Steven Gerrard has a potential replacement arriving in Fashion Sakala with Kemar Roofe, Cedric Itten and Jermain Defoe already in place but you would expect one more if El Bufalo did depart.
