Robert Carlyle has revealed how he felt haunted by Adolf Hitler - after agreeing to stay in a hotel room once occupied by the Nazi leader.

The actor, 60, portrayed the dictator in the 2003 TV mini-series Hitler: The Rise of Evil. He said that during filming in the Czech Republic, he agreed to stay in a hotel room where Hitler and his mistress Eva Braun stayed.Carlyle told how he felt something "spooky" while inside the room, which has remained untouched since their visit.He said: "A strange thing happened in the middle of it."We were shooting in Liberec in the Czech Republic and the hotel we were staying in was a kind of bizarre wee place and its claim to fame – and it put this on its hotel literature – was that Hitler had stayed there."No
