Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh takes to DJ decks to play hit rave tune from film
dailyrecord.co.ukScottish author and DJ Irvine Welsh delighted fans at Leith Festival this weekend as he got behind the decks and played a very familiar rave tune that many of us will recognise from the 1996 film Trainspotting.Irvine, who wrote the novel Trainspotting before it was developed into a film directed by Danny Boyle, is also the author of cult classics such as Filth and Porno.
But he also used to be a 'real raver' back in the day, and is said to have been involved in dance music for most of his life.
A clip from Leith Festival shared on social media shows the Edinburgh-born author performing his packed DJ set which even featured a remix of Born Slippy by Underworld - much to the delight of Trainspotting fans.
