Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh has given one lucky Rangers fan the chance to go to the Europa final. The famous writer took to Twitter last night to offer up a ticket for the game in Seville - which are like gold dust.
Rangers secured their place in the Europa League Final for the first time in 14 years after a 3-1 victory against RB Leipzig, meaning they will take on Eintracht Frankfurt in Spain on Wednesday, May 18 in the final.
Tens of thousands of Rangers fans are preparing to travel to Spain, many without tickets to the match. And Irvine's kind gesture will mean that one less fan will be frantically hunting for a ticket.
Taking to Twitter, Irvine wrote: "As @WestHam unfortunately didn’t make the Europa final, I now have a spare ticket. Rather than waste it I would like to donate it to a Rangers fan.
