Tragic Rangers fan who died on bus home from game hailed as 'true gentleman'

Fresh tributes have been paid to a Rangers fan who died on a supporters' bus as he made his way home from the Light Blues' victorious clash with Motherwell this week.Robbie Stewart, 73, was on his way home to Perth on board the Perth True Blues' coach on Wednesday December 28 when he became unwell.

Tragically he could not be saved, and Rangers confirmed his passing in a statement issued on Friday.The Tayside supporters' group issued a statement of its own later that day on Facebook, calling Robbie a "dear friend" and a "true gentleman".

It also shared images of Robbie among friends and fellow supporters enjoying hospitality on match days.The group said: “'No One Should Go To A Football Match And Never Return Home" – those famous words rang true and devastated our club on Wednesday night.

It’s been an emotional few days for everyone connected to Perth True Blues on the sudden and sad passing of loyal member Robbie Stewart."This dear friend, true gentleman and great character of ours will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
