A man was found dead in the flower bed at his home - with his sister later saying she only ever heard from him 'when he was in hospital or jail'.

Paul David Moore, who shared a house in Regent Road in Chorley with Jason Phillips, his friend of 30 years, had been a long-term user of heroin reports LancsLive and was being treated with opiate substitute methadone.

The 50-year-old, who was described by his friend as 'generally an unwell person', was found 'slumped in the flower bed' in the evening of February 10 of this year.

Paramedics were called but despite attempts to resuscitate Paul he was pronounced dead. The medical cause of death was found to be multiple drug toxicity.
