The family of a junior doctor who died following a crash have paid tribute to his ‘selflessness’ and ‘kindness’. Jyothis Manalayil, from Bolton, was killed when his Kia Ceed was involved in a collision with a Range Rover in Garstang Road, Larbreck, on Friday, June 10.
The 28-year-old, known as Jyo, had just completed a night shift and was on his way to teach medical students when the tragedy happened.
In a tribute issued via police, Jyo's family said: “Jyothis Manalayil (Jyo) was a promising young junior doctor who tragically lost his life in a car accident in Garstang Road, Larbreck on Friday 10th June 2022. “He was travelling from Lancaster Royal Infirmary Hospital after his night shift to Royal Victoria Hospital Blackpool to do a teaching section to medical students.
