Tragedy as fan favourite Peter Kay tribute act dies suddenly

Heartbroken tributes have been paid following the sudden death of a much-loved Peter Kay tribute act. Simon Mark toured the UK and Europe and quickly established himself as one of the UK's best tributes to the Bolton-born comedian.

His act included many of Kay's catchphrases, including the iconic 'Garlic Bread' shout, the Mirror reports. A announcing the sad news today (February 12), a statement from his official Facebook page read: "It is with heavy heart that last night Simon fell asleep and didn't wake up.

We all know how loved he was by all, and the fantastic memories we all had with him." The cause of the star's death is as yet unknown.

The post continued: "I know this is a massive shock to everyone and he will be deeply missed. At this moment in time we don't know how, what happened or why.
