dailyrecord.co.ukA body has been found in a wooded area during searches for a missing man in Airdrie. The tragic discovery was made at the rear of Broompark Crescent in the North Lanarkshire town at 1pm on Saturday, July 13.
He has been formally identified as 20-year-old Nico McCann, who was reported missing on Friday.Police say there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.A statement from Police Scotland reads: "Around 1pm on Saturday, July 13 the body of a man was discovered in a wooded area at the rear of Broompark Crescent in Airdrie. "He has been formally identified as 20-year-old Nico McCann who was reported missing on Friday. "There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
