A 52 year-old man died just three days after being discharged from hospital following surgery. Colin Crawford had surgery on his right thigh to remove a ‘substantial’ shard of glass after a fall in his bathroom.
The inquest into Colin's death heard that he was taken into hospital on December 6 2021. He was in hospital to remove the shard of glass from his leg before being discharged on December 8.
StokeOnTrent Live report that Colin's nephew Dean Hurst told the inquest: “He called me from the hospital. He was going for surgery to remove the shard from his leg.
