Eighties pop star Toyah Willcox has got millions of fans rocking out to quirky cover versions that she posts online. The It’s A Mystery singer, 62, gets dressed up and gives it her all every Sunday lunchtime accompanied by guitarist husband Robert Fripp, 74.
Their version of Metallica’s Enter Sandman, featuring Toyah in white and using an exercise bike, has been viewed more than 3.7 million times on YouTube.
King Crimson founder Robert said: “Toyah is insistent that performers have a responsibility to perform and to lift people’s spirits.
So I strap on my guitar and rock out! What better for rocking out than rock classics?” Toyah added: “We choose songs we love, for people to enjoy.
