A tourism boss has hailed Paisley’s cultural renaissance as the town prepares to host a major UK event.Paisley is hosting About Us, the opening event for Unboxed: Creativity in the UK, a celebration of creativity taking place across the UK.The free outdoor event starts on Tuesday, March 1 outside Paisley Abbey and combines a live performance with multimedia installations exploring 13.8 billion years of the history of our universe, from the Big Bang to the present day.Produced by 59 Productions, the team behind spectacular opening events for the Edinburgh International Festival, About Us will transform the landmark Paisley Abbey.The event will also showcase poems and scratch animations by young people from local schools in Renfrewshire and across Scotland.Don't miss the latest headlines from around Renfrewshire.
