Heartbreaking news has hit the comedy world as comedian and famed dog behaviourist Tony Knight has tragically died at the age of 54.The stand-up comic sadly lost his life in a freak accident while attending the Rock and Cars festival in Lavaur, southern France, on Saturday, June 7, according to a family member's confirmation.
Aussie Tony was reportedly hit by a falling tree branch, injuring him and six others. He was the only one who didn't survive the incident.
Described as "fit, healthy, happy and had everything going for him" by Joanne Allen on a GoFundMe page, Tony was having a great time at the festival before the tragedy struck.
Joanne wrote on the fundraising site, "Tony had been in France only a few days before he lost his life attending a festival with his friend Pascall, and never made it home." She remembered Tony as a "charismatic, funny, passionate and so very loved" person whose life was centred around his love for dogs, helping people worldwide through various platforms including face-to-face classes, online courses, radio and TV appearances, ebooks, and more.Tony’s innovative approaches to dog training were highly respected, earning him admiration and respect globally.To support his partner who is handling funeral arrangements, Joanne started a GoFundMe campaign earlier this week, which has already raised $4695 in donations.
