mirror.co.ukTeam GB had to wait just moments to jump from two gold medals to three as Tom Pidcock won the men's mountain biking in Tokyo.
The celebrations had barely died down from Tom Daley and Matty Lee's win in the men's 10m synchronised diving when Pidcock stormed to victory on the hills.
The Yorkshire cyclist dominated the race and led for the majority of the contest to cross the line in first place and add to a memorable day three, which also saw Adam Peaty win men's 100m breaststroke gold in the swimming pool.
