Tom Parker was 'doing really well' but 'deteriorated quickly' after final The Wanted tour

A close family friend of Tom Parker said that he was “doing really well” during his time on The Wanted tour before he deteriorated quickly afterwards.

It was announced on Wednesday 30 March that the 33 year old tragically passed away from a brain tumour, after being diagnosed with incurable cancer.Tom appeared on tour with his band The Wanted in the weeks leading up to his untimely death and was described by a close family friend to have been “doing really well” as he took part in shows.

According to the insider, the late singer’s condition however soon took a turn for the worse and he “deteriorated quickly” before he eventually passed away. “Tom loved touring - he was an absolute rockstar and determined to join the boys on stage,” a source told The Sun. "He was enjoying playing two songs a night and was doing well performing but it really took it out of him. "We all noticed how quickly Tom deteriorated during the tour but he had no regrets - he really wanted to do it." Tom was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour in 2020 and was told he had 12 to 18 months left to live.The singer underwent six rounds of chemotherapy and 30 radiotherapy sessions before being told by doctors that his tumour and was registered as “stable” in November.This month The Sun reported that Tom had received treatment in a private hospital in Spain, which provided massages and oxygen machines. “Tom has been vocal that he doesn’t think the options available in Britain are perfect so he’s trying elsewhere,” a source told the publication.
