Tom Jones' late wife Linda shared dying wish for him to keep on singing

mirror.co.ukTom Jones almost gave up singing when his late wife Linda was diagnosed with lung cancer – but she urged him to carry on. The 80-year-old said he did not think he could carry on performing after Linda’s death in 2016.
He said: “When we found out she was sick, I cancelled the tour I was on and went to visit her in the hospital. “I told her I wasn’t sure I’d be able to sing any more.
But she told me, ‘You’ve got to. Don’t die with me’.” Sir Tom vowed to continue but “almost packed it in” after Linda’s death.
He said: “Your voice won’t come out. Your vocal chords won’t respond properly.” After specialist therapy in LA, Sir Tom sounds as good as ever on new album, Surrounded By Time.
