Tom Hanks put in his own money to finance some of the parts of Forrest Gump. In a new interview, the 64-year-old actor opened up about investing some of his own money into the film that would go on to earn him the Oscar for Best Actor.
One of the scenes that Tom backed, along with filmmaker Robert Zemeckis was the run across America. “And [Zemeckis] said ‘Well, this run is going to cost X amount of dollars.’ And it wasn’t cheap.
