Officials at the Ohio college held a virtual commencement ceremony after the coronavirus pandemic halted plans for the usual graduation bash, but Hanks – who battled Covid-19 himself – made sure the day was a success by showing up on video to speak to the students. “You are the chosen ones because of a fate unimagined when you began your Wright State adventures,” he said. “You started in the olden times, in a world back before the Great Pandemic of 2020.
