Tom Cruise has reportedly joined the growing list of famous faces returning their Golden Globe awards amid the diversity controversy.
The actor, 58, is said to have handed back his three awards as the outcry against the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for its failure to reform its lack of diversity grows.
The trophies returned are his awards for Best Actor which he won for Jerry Maguire in 1997, the Best Actor prize he won for Born on the Fourth of July in 1990, and the Best Supporting Actor prize he won for Magnolia 2000.
Deadline confirmed the news on Monday and it's expected that others will continue to follow suit. The Top Gun star has joined the likes of Netflix, Amazon and NBC that are protesting the Hollywood Foreign Press
