Tina Turner died at her home in Switzerland on Wednesday, which she and her husband Erwin Bach had purchased for $76 million (£61 million) two years prior. The beautiful estate is a whopping 260,000 square-foot, made up of ten buildings in total. The grounds boast their own pond, pool, stream and boat deck – which is ideal as their home was located next to Lake Zurich.
Further details about Tina and Erwin’s beautiful home remain private, but pictures demonstrate their sprawling estate. All the buildings are painted a lovely shade of white, matching the snow capped mountains on the opposite side of the lake.
Adding a pop of colour, the shutters on the windows appear to be painted teal. The property is surrounded by greenery that's all fenced off from the general public. There’s a large black metal gate at the end of the drive leading up to the main house, where devastated fans of Tina’s have been leaving flowers and candles to pay their respects to the late singer.
White birch trees line the couple’s driveway. According to Mail Online, ahead of buying the beautiful property Tina and German-born Erwin had to gain Swiss citizenship so that they could purchase it as non-Swiss residents are unable to buy homes in the country.
