Tina Turner never got to meet her grandchildren or great-grandchildren before her death, according to reports. A representative for the music legend confirmed that she died “peacefully” at her home in Switzerland aged 83 on May 24.
The Proud Mary hit-maker had long been battling high blood pressure and kidney failure and passed away from natural causes. News of her death sent shockwaves across the world, including to some of her nearest and dearest who had no idea how gravely sick she had been, according to reports.
According to Page Six, the US born star sadly never got to meet her grandchildren or great-grandchildren while alive. Twanna Turner, Ike Turner’s daughter from his relationship with Pat Richards, told the publication: “No-one had heard from Tina in a while, it happened so suddenly. “It’s time to heal.
The family really wants and needs to heal, they have gone through so much, and they continue to go through so much. ”Turner had two biological children – Raymond Craig, who was fathered by saxophonist Raymond Hill and who she gave birth to when she was just 18 years old, and Ronnie, from her marriage to Ike Turner.
