Timothée Chalamet's one-word response to losing out at Oscars as he 'hides disappointment'

Timothée Chalamet had a simple one-word reaction when it was revealed that Adrien Brody had scooped the Best Actor award at the 2025 Oscars.

Chalamet was nominated for the award for his work in A Complete Unknown, playing singer-songwriter Bob Dylan. However he missed out on the award to The Brutalist star Brody.

As the winner was announced at the glitzy Los Angeles ceremony, Chalament could be seen looking towards an emotional Brody and applauding.

He then gave a one-word response to the result. According to lip reader Jeremy Freeman, Chalamet simply responded: "Yeah." It is not clear whether he is responding to a comment from someone nearby though.
