TikTok is under fire again for spying on millions of iPhone users. The company, as well as over 50 other apps, have been found to be breaching their users privacy and reading any text that happens to reside in clipboards.
This will be data that has been cut or copied from things like password managers and email programs. Now, Forbes reports that Apple is beta-testing its new iOS 14, which exposes the apps who are spying on everyone.
The feature Apple added will pop up a warning every time an app reads your clipboard contents. TikTok, one of the more recognizable apps, released a statement after their spy tactics were exposed. “Following the beta release of iOS14 on June 22, users saw notifications while using a number of popular apps.
