Joe Exotic
Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage (born March 5, 1963), better known by his stage name Joe Exotic, is an American former zoo operator, internet personality, musician, and convicted felon. The former owner and operator of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park (a.k.a. G. W. Zoo) in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Maldonado-Passage had claimed to be the most prolific breeder of tigers in the United States. He twice unsuccessfully ran for public office, first for President of the United States in 2016 as an independent, and then for Governor of Oklahoma in 2018 as a Libertarian.
Carole Baskin
Carole Baskin (born June 6, 1961) is an American animal rights activist and owner of Big Cat Rescue, a non-profit animal sanctuary based near Tampa, Florida. Baskin drew public attention when she was featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness about Oklahoma-based private zoo operator known as Joe Exotic. The Netflix series follows both Baskin and Joe Exotic, filming their ongoing and escalating feuds over exotic animals in private zoos. Following the series' release, Baskin has been targeted by Internet memes related to the disappearance of Don Lewis, her second husband.

Netflix fans have been gripped by the hit documentary series Tiger King which focused on the rise and fall of zoo owner Joe Exotic, aka 57-year-old Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage.
The show chronicled Joe’s downfall – including his apparent plan to have animal rights activist Carole Baskin, 58, murdered, seemingly as revenge for the fact she campaigned to have his zoo closed.
However, viewers were also fascinated by Carole’s own mysterious past and that of her missing millionaire ex-husband Don Lewis, who went missing on 18 August 1997 aged 59, and Carole subsequently inherited his fortune.
