Carole Baskin
Carole Baskin (born June 6, 1961) is an American animal rights activist and owner of Big Cat Rescue, a non-profit animal sanctuary based near Tampa, Florida. Baskin drew public attention when she was featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness about Oklahoma-based private zoo operator known as Joe Exotic. The Netflix series follows both Baskin and Joe Exotic, filming their ongoing and escalating feuds over exotic animals in private zoos. Following the series' release, Baskin has been targeted by Internet memes related to the disappearance of Don Lewis, her second husband.

Tiger King star Carole Baskin is taking over Joe Exotic's old zoo after a judge ordered Jeff Lowe out, it's claimed. The judge has ruled that Joe's transfer of the zoo land to his mother and Jeff was fraudulent, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

And as Carole never got the money she won in a $1million judgment against Joe and his mum many years ago she has been awarded the land to recover some of what she is owed.

Viewers of the Netflix series will know this will be a huge blow to Joe, who has a longstanding rivalry with Carole thanks to her campaigning to shut down big cat parks like his.
