Carole Baskin
Carole Baskin (born June 6, 1961) is an American animal rights activist and owner of Big Cat Rescue, a non-profit animal sanctuary based near Tampa, Florida. Baskin drew public attention when she was featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness about Oklahoma-based private zoo operator known as Joe Exotic. The Netflix series follows both Baskin and Joe Exotic, filming their ongoing and escalating feuds over exotic animals in private zoos. Following the series' release, Baskin has been targeted by Internet memes related to the disappearance of Don Lewis, her second husband.

Tiger King's Carole Baskin earned £16k on first day of fan messaging site

Animal rights activist Carole Baskin is said to have earned £16,000 in her first day on a fan messaging site. The Tiger King star, 59, has now upped her fee for a message on service Cameo by £108.

The Big Cat Rescue CEO previously asked for £140 for a 30-second shout-out, before increasing the cost to £165 and then to £248.

It is believed that she has now accumulated more than £100,000 from the service, according to the Daily Star. One fan reacted to Carole's message by commenting: "This was more than I could hope for!

I had to give it to my husband early, and it totally made his day." However, it has not all been a success story, as a comedian paid to trick her into leaving a message for Rolf Harris, who was convicted of indecent assaults
