Carole Baskin
Carole Baskin (born June 6, 1961) is an American animal rights activist and owner of Big Cat Rescue, a non-profit animal sanctuary based near Tampa, Florida. Baskin drew public attention when she was featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness about Oklahoma-based private zoo operator known as Joe Exotic. The Netflix series follows both Baskin and Joe Exotic, filming their ongoing and escalating feuds over exotic animals in private zoos. Following the series' release, Baskin has been targeted by Internet memes related to the disappearance of Don Lewis, her second husband.

Tiger King on Netflix: Carole Baskin wins control of Joe Exotic's former zoo

Joe Exotic's nemesis, Carole Baskin is taking over his former zoo in Wynnewood, Oklahoma. According to multiple reports, Baskin's Big Cat Rescue Corp won ownership and full control of the zoo as part of a trademark judgment against Joe, the park's past proprietor.

After years of battling in court, between Carole and Joe - whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage - shot to fame after becoming the subjects of Netflix documentary Tiger King.

This new revelation comes almost seven years after Joe was first ordered to pay Carole US $1 million for trademark infringement.

According to Courthouse News, U.S. District Judge Scott L. Palk in Oklahoma City ruled that Big Cat Rescue had proven Joe fraudulently transferred the animal sancuary
