Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage (born March 5, 1963), better known by his stage name Joe Exotic, is an American former zoo operator, internet personality, musician, and convicted felon. The former owner and operator of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park (a.k.a. G. W. Zoo) in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Maldonado-Passage had claimed to be the most prolific breeder of tigers in the United States. He twice unsuccessfully ran for public office, first for President of the United States in 2016 as an independent, and then for Governor of Oklahoma in 2018 as a Libertarian.
Carole Baskin
Carole Baskin (born June 6, 1961) is an American animal rights activist and owner of Big Cat Rescue, a non-profit animal sanctuary based near Tampa, Florida. Baskin drew public attention when she was featured in the 2020 Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness about Oklahoma-based private zoo operator known as Joe Exotic. The Netflix series follows both Baskin and Joe Exotic, filming their ongoing and escalating feuds over exotic animals in private zoos. Following the series' release, Baskin has been targeted by Internet memes related to the disappearance of Don Lewis, her second husband.

Big news for big cat lovers! Tiger King 2 is coming to Netflix — and soon.Tiger King, which premiered in March 2020, will return later this year with an update on zookeeper and convicted felon, Joe Exotic, and his rival, the founder and CEO of Big Cat Rescue, Carole Baskin.

No exact date for its premiere was given at this time.However, the sequel, directed by Eric Goode and Rebecca Chaiklin, promises “more madness and mayhem,” according to a Netflix press memo released on Thursday, September 23.While it is unclear how much of the last two years the doc will cover, a teaser for the series shows Exotic, 58, phoning in from jail, where he is currently serving a 22-year sentence for an alleged murder for hire plot aimed at Baskin, 60.
