Thugs throw eight knives into company's yard but police were "too busy" to respond

Manchester Evening News made inquiries the knives will be recovered. Mr Stringer, general manager at A & R Self Storage in Bamford Street, Clayton, said: "The storage yard has restricted access and opening times.

It closed at 5pm on Saturday 19th September and re-opened at 8am on Monday September 21st."A routine check of the facilities was done and four 'kitchen' style knives were found at various points on the premises."They had been thrown over the 10ft high brick security wall.

I have been told by people in the neighbourhood that a gang of teenagers hang around the junction of Bank Street and John Heywood Street."It's my opinion that the 'gang' disposed of the blades due to a Police presence."These blades were collected up by the staff.
