Thug offered to walk woman home then choked her 'out of the blue'
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA man who walked up to a woman from behind then choked her 'out of the blue' has been jailed. Jake Massey, 31, was only stopped by a member of the public who intervened, a court heard.
The incident took place last August in Llandudno, north Wales, when Massey, from Farnworth, Bolton, attacked the woman in the street as he was walking her home.
Mold Crown Court heard on Monday that the pair had been out drinking in a group and the defendant had been hostile towards his victim due to allegations she had made. A member of the public witnessed the incident, according to the prosecution barrister, before the woman managed to get away away and run across the road to the passer-by.
