Thug burned his own mum with oil from frying pan and left her with bite marks

A brute headbutted, bit and burned his terrified mum with oil from a frying pan inside her own home. A court heard how violent Edward Castor grabbed and launched a vicious attack against his parent - leaving her with bite marks on her arms and burns to her face.

The 22-year-old thug then kicked and tried to bite one police officer responding to the incident, before headbutting another by throwing his head backwards.

Castor was already subject to a restraining order which should have protected his mum from his abuse. That followed an earlier incident which saw him assault and spit on his mother last year, Chronicle Live reports.

In his latest incident, Castor caused almost £2,000-worth of damage to his mum's home. Clare Irving, prosecuting at Newcastle Magistrates' Court, said the offences happened at Castor's mother's home in Newcastle on January 20.
