Throuple want to help others in 'pathway to parenthood'

A throuple are applying to become legal parents to their adopted daughter and surrogate son. They plan to start a consultancy business to "create a pathway" for smoothly integrating children into three-person relationships.

Ben Rolam, a 38-year-old director of sales and education, and his long-term boyfriend Mitch, a 38-year-old account development manager, had always considered adding a third person to their relationship.

After being together for 12 years, they met their ideal match on a gay cruise in 2018 - 36-year-old entrepreneur Benjamin. The trio, who now all share the same surname, live together in Los Angeles, California.

They have been spiritually married and have a two-year-old adopted daughter, Tegan, and a six-month-old surrogate son, Bowie.
