Three areas of England are enjoying falling coronavirus infection rates, while other parts of the country see their cases soar.
Luton, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, and Wolverhampton recorded a fall in Covid-19 cases in the last week. Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly had the biggest drop in England.
In the far-south west county and island, cases fell by 33.34 per cent, according to Public Health England data. That means for the week between September 28 to October 4, it had a case rate of 20.8 per 100,000 people.
Luton in Bedfordshire is the only area in the country so far to have additional coronavirus restrictions enforced and then relaxed.
