Threave Rovers suffered their first defeat in five games – despite taking the lead at Lesmahagow. Dean Brotherson put them in front after half an hour but the hosts were soon back level through Kieran McGuire.
Lesmahagow then had Kyle Weir dismissed in the second half but took the lead through Sam Duncan’s header, with Gary Nicholson scoring to seal a 3-1 win.
Threave interim gaffer Paul McGinley said: “It was a game you couldn’t have done much tactically due to the state of the pitch.
It’s not an excuse, it’s just a fact – the pitch was horrendous. “We played well in the first half, we controlled things, then there was an unfortunate error from the ref when the boy has broken through and scored but he is offside.
