Thousands of North Lanarkshire pupils benefiting from outdoor school activities programme

A new North Lanarkshire Council report highlights the performance of the outdoor activities programme for school pupils at Strathclyde Country Park in Motherwell.Since 2020 and the closure of Kilbowie Outdoor Education Centre, outdoor activities for schoolchildren have been based at Strathclyde, which offers all P7 pupils in the local authority area a five-day experience.During the first year 29 primary schools sent P7 pupils on a free activities week, and the easing of pandemic restrictions has witnessed this grow to more than 110 groups including ASN schools booked to take part during this academic year.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
