Millions of people in receipt of Universal Credit and other state benefits could be eligible for a £25 rebate on their energy bills this winter.

Cold Weather Payments are offered to those who may struggle to pay their heating bills when the temperatures fall. And with large parts of the UK covered in snow this morning, it could mean you're due some money back.

The arrival of Storm Bella on Boxing Day will bring further downpours and winds of up to 70mph in exposed coastal locations - prompting a flurry of refunds.

The Cold Weather Payment Scheme is run by the Department of Work and Pensions and is available from November 1 until March 31 every year.
