Tuchel will work with the squad he inherited from Frank Lampard for the remainder of the season having opted against making any late January additions.
In the summer though he will look to sign a centre-half capable of taking over from Thiago Silva. The former PSG man will turn 37 this year and, although his experience has been crucial, he will eventually need replacing.
