It may not be a face that is very familiar to you but the voice of Michael Angelis is one many people would have become very fond of over the years.
The actor, who narrated the popular children’s Thomas the Tank Engine series, Thomas & Friends, died in his home on Saturday, aged 68.
Michael narrated the classic children’s show from 1991 to 2012, making him the longest-running narrator on the show, a role he took over from The Beatles Ringo Starr.
The actor also headed six American episodes, the first six The Railway Stories CDs and other commercials, however, actors such as Alec Baldwin took over the role.
