Nobody was seriously injured during the crash on the anticlockwise carriageway. But the collision caused chaos on the motorway for a couple of hours after eleven vehicles became caught up in it.
Police have blamed a sudden and unexpected bout of bad weather for the smash - which happened at around 8.10am on Saturday morning (April 10) close to junction 25 at Brinnington.
The North West Motorway Police tweeted: “A sudden flurry of snow in the Manchester area has caused numerous RTC's. The M60 A/C/W is currently being closed at Junction 25.” Emergency
